The way you spoke, the confidence, the presence, it was giving all the Black girl magic. You had this powerful, polished swag that was just undeniable. You were poised, graceful, and still real, and it made me feel proud.
As a Black woman in my mid-thirties who’s still figuring things out, seeing someone like you in that position, owning every moment, lit something in me. You reminded me that I can still get there, that it’s possible.
I was hoping to find you after the event just to say that in person, but I didn’t get the chance. So I wanted to send this message instead. Thank you for showing up the way you did. You really inspired me that day, more than you know.

I have connected deeply with people my entire life.
